The most important choice I ever made for my spiritual growth was to be part of a weekly program of biblical study. It has been my great privilege to teach Bible studies for almost thirty years.
A Foundation of Faith is a weekly Bible study from the books of 1 and 2 Peter, Jude, and the faith of a variety of biblical characters.
Peter’s faith was foundational to his life, and the wisdom he shared with first-century Christians remains central to the Christian faith today. The Bible is full of stories about average people with extraordinary faith. Those stories were preserved by God as Scripture for every generation.
This series of lessons will guide your study. These books will ship directly to your home when you order below, and a video message for that week’s passage will be uploaded to FoundationsWithJanet.org as supplemental teaching to go along with your workbook.
Most people have questions about the Christian faith and the Bible, even people who have gone to church for most of their lives.

Janet Denison has been writing and teaching Bible study for forty years and is the founder of Foundations with Janet Denison, which exists to teach people about the transforming power of Scripture through digital Bible study.
She is the author of several books and dozens of Bible studies, including:
- Wisdom Matters, an evening devotional containing messages from Scripture that you can apply to your daily life that is also offered in the Foundations Bible Study App.
- A Great Calm: Finding God’s Peace When You Need It Most, a book of short devotionals based on God’s word that will help you face your storms with great calm of Christ.

For forty years Janet has been dedicated to helping people learn how to study the Bible and apply God’s truth to their lives. For over twenty years, she led a weekly women’s Bible study at Park Cities Baptist Church and continues to speak at churches and community events.
Janet is a graduate of Houston Baptist University and is married to Dr. Jim Denison. They live in Tyler, Texas and have two married sons and four grandchildren.
