The best Christmas video ever

The retail chain Sainsbury’s created this ad to remind us that Christmas is about sharing.  The video is based on a true event from World War I and was made to show the power and unity of the Christmas spirit.  I wanted to share it with my readers so that we could bring that message of sharing to others as well.  Ephesians 2:14 says, “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.”  The Christmas message is powerful and we should share it.

I don’t often ask my readers to consider forwarding my blog posts.  I will ask that today.  Watch the video and then share the message, with those you love, and maybe with some you need to love.  Our world is divided in many ways.  Jesus came to make us one with the Father, and one with each other.

That is a unique power of the Christmas holiday that we don’t talk about enough.  Christmas is in the hearts of people all over our planet.  Colossians 3:15 says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.  And be thankful.”  If we would share the Christmas message we would find brothers and sisters to stand with all over the world.

Enjoy the video, share it with others and pray that the definition of peace found in this Christmas ad will be the message of Christmas 2014.

I pray that this Christmas video will be seen across the globe and will serve as a reminder of all that we can look forward to in heaven.  Isaiah knew it would be true when he said, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

My Christmas wish for each of you:

May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
