New beginnings

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As we pack away another holiday season, let’s take just a minute to pause and consider the year ahead.

There will be moments in nature that take our breath away. There will be moments of laughter that lighten our spirit. There will be moments of sadness that we will need to pray through. There will be people to love, people to enjoy, and people to pray for. There will be at least one person we will walk home to be with the heavenly Father for all eternity.

Every new year is a gift of God and an opportunity to serve him.

Thank you

Thank you for being part of the Foundations ministry. Many of you have supported this ministry financially for a long time now, and I am grateful to you for your gifts! Thank you for reading this blog post and for allowing me the privilege of helping you experience some moments with the word of God.

It makes me smile to think of spending all eternity with people that I will likely not know this side of heaven yet are still “friends” in Christ.

A verse for 2023

This is a verse that I hope to dwell on a LOT this year. I wanted to share it with all of you.

This year will hold changes and challenges for all of us. Every year is like that. I love Solomon’s wisdom about that fact, and I hope to live in his wisdom this year.

He said, “In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him” (Ecclesiastes 7:14).

This year belongs to God, and it will be an adventure. One encouragement we can claim for each day of 2023 is this:

“This is the day the Lᴏʀᴅ has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).

Happy New Year to my friends and to my friends forever.
