There have been a few times in my life when an encounter with God changed the course I was set on. The first encounter was a tangible desire for a relationship with Jesus that resulted in my salvation, forever altering the course of my eternity. Another happened at camp in junior high, when I felt God’s presence and experienced his peace and love for the first time. At the heart of worship

I invited my son, Craig, to be a guest blogger.  I am a proud mom!  (Well, except for the comment on my singing…but I raised him to tell the truth!)  Enjoy this…I sure did! J-

I want to begin by thanking my mom for giving me the chance to speak my heart.  While my dad has been the source of so much theology over the years, as well as countless other great things in my life, it’s always been my mom who would have hard, honest conversations with me about God.  Love you Mom.

Now that I’ve got you all in tears, let’s get to something I feel God has placed on my heart.  It centers on one important question: what is your worship like?  I’m not talking about musicianship.  I understand if you can’t carry a tune.  I grew up sitting next to my mother, whose inability to sing is probably well known to you all by now.  I’m talking about something deeper.  What happens when you worship?  Do you feel God’s smile?  Do things in your life seem to fall into the right places?
